What to Wear for Your Engagement Photos
If you’re like me, then you want to be prepared for any and every situation! When it comes to planning an engagement photoshoot, it’s really helpful to be prepared for anything. Here are some tips on what to wear when having your photos taken in Madrid:
- Make sure you bring an outfit change — it’ll add some variety. Also, in the summer, the weather can be pretty hot in the city! If you’re coming in the fall or winter, a light jacket will do!
- What colours should you wear? Neutrals, solid colours, accompanied by one article with a pattern often looks really good! All in all, just make sure there aren’t any clashing patterns and colours.
- Wherever you decide to go, make sure to bring shoes that you feel comfortable walking in. A lot of the streets are windy and it can take a while to get around. Because of this, it makes it hard to wear heels (unless you’re a pro!).

The photos below were taken in the Cabo Noval Garden just a short walk from the Cathedral. At sunset (in the summer in Madrid, the sun sets around 20:00-20:30), the sun comes through the trees and makes for a perfect spot for your engagement photos!
