Where to Propose in Barcelona, Spain
1. Sagrada Familia Viewpoint
This is a popular choice; but it’s popular because it really is stunning!! There’s one spot in particular, right in front of the Gaudí lake, that has a perfect view of the Sagrada Familia in the background! One thing to note is that this location is very popular and it gets crowded during the day. We definitely recommend this location in the morning as early as possible for the most intimate and crowd-less experience.

2. Marimurtra Botanical Gardens
This location in Blanes, about an hour away Barcelona city, is getting more popular, and rightly so! It’s a beautiful botanical garden right on the coast that offers a pretty breathtaking view. It’s the perfect location to pop the question. If you want to know how to get to this location and when the best time to propose here is, send us a message!

4. Morro de l’Abella
Morro de l’Abella is one of Barcelona’s loviest mountain viewpoints at sunset, perfect for a proposal set in nature with gorgeous views. If your girlfriend is more keen to wanting a private and intimate proposal, and loves nature, this is the perfect location. This hiking trail is currently open to the public with space to park your car on the side of the road. The viewpoint itself is just a 15 minute walk/light hike and you’ll have arrived.

6. Horta Labyrinth Park (Laberint d’Horta)
This park, like name suggests, is like a beautiful garden labyrinth located 15 minutes north of the city centre. It’s also big enough to offer a lot of different locations for a proposal! This location is a great choice because you’ll be able to explore the gardens after the proposal and take a lot of really nice photos. Keep in mind that this park has an entrance fee and opening and closing hours. “5 stars is not enough!!
Working with Jake and Genessa was a dream!! I came across their work on Pinterest and little did I know that my then boyfriend – now, my fiancé – already booked them for a surprise engagement photoshoot in Spain.
The moment we got to Marimurtra Gardens, Jake started taking pictures and would direct us on how to pose and made us feel sooo comfortable which was very important, especially with my fiancé being a shy guy who doesn’t really like to take pictures.
Jake was so accommodating, and he is also a very genuine person. I managed to form blisters at the ball of my feet, and they were not fun, to the point I could not walk anymore. He offered me his slippers and he even offered for me to take them home so I don’t have to walk in my heels anymore. He also offered my fiancé and I drinks from his cooler and also made sure my fiancé was taken care of.
We ended up being absolutely obsessed with our photos as well! OVERALL: THE BEST!”
