If you’re searching around Spain for the perfect place to elope, then you’ve come to the right spot! We’ll tell you (and show you) exactly what it’s like eloping in Spain’s most travelled to island, Mallorca, and also why you should. We’ll start by showing you a full day from a real destination elopement that me and my husband photographed this year, then we’ll give you some handy tips that will be super helpful for you in making your decision. At the same time, we are glad you’re here and that you stumbled upon our photography website. Moreover, all these photos were taken by us and we hope you love them enough to bring us back here to photograph your Mallorca Destination Elopement!
Mallorca Elopement Venue— Ca’s Xorc Luxury Retreat
Among Mallorca’s best villas is Ca’s Xorc Luxury Retreat, which offers a magical combination of natural rustic beauty, rich history, and a touch of luxury that you can’t miss. if you’re looking for the perfect place to stay and get ready for your elopement, Ca’s Xorc is a beautiful option. But even beyond the aesthetics of this villa, there’s the local’s warm hospitality (it’s true, they are the kindest people!), the delicious cuisine (paelllllaaaa), and the romantic Spanish charm that make Spain an unbeatable elopement destination.
If you want to do what this couple did, start your afternoon off slow at Ca’s Xorc, get some lunch, then start getting ready. Afterwards, take some portraits around the property because it’s absolutely breathtaking! See some of the photos we took below.
Photographer’s Tip: Plan extra time in your elopement timeline to allow for wiggle room and spontaneity.
Why Ca’s Xorc is the Perfect Getting Ready Location
- Secluded Gem: Ca’s Xorc is a hidden gem nestled away in the Mallorcan countryside, which offers a rural experience paired with high quality service.
- Versatile Spaces: Use your room, the lobby, and the property for getting ready photos.
- Drone Shots: We have permission from Ca’s Xorc to fly our drones, which make for some really unique photos of the villa from the sky.
I’ll let the elopement day speak for itself in the photos, as shown below. If you want your wedding photos to look like these, then contact us and let’s start the planning.
Tips for your Elopement in Mallorca
If you’re planning to elope in Mallorca, hurray! There are some things to consider when it comes to your photos in Mallorca, and these are some tips we’ve noticed brings us success:
- Don’t forget to look up the summer/winter schedules of villas and gardens. There are different opening hours for certain locations in Mallorca depending when you are visiting the island. Sometimes roads will be closed or parks and gardens will close earlier in the day. If you hire us to be your photographers, we’ll help you create a personalized elopement itinerary that takes all those logistics into account!
- Split your day into two photo sessions. If you want to make the best of the lighting and weather for your elopement, aim for either early morning or late afternoon. With our Premium Elopement photo package, you get coverage for the entire day so you have the option to do both sunrise and sunset sessions which we highly recommend! You’ll skip the hottest part of the day, escape crowds, and get the best possible lighting for your photos.
- Remember to bring another pair of shoes and snacks if you get hungry. Walking around lots of places around Mallorca might be difficult in high heels as there’s a lot of cobblestoned patches, uneven sidewalks, and hiking trails. Bringing another pair of comfy shoes will definitely help!

Sunrise Elopement Photoshoot at Cap de Formentor, Mallorca
This couple did exactly what we recommended and split their day into two sessions— sunrise and sunset. They got up early and headed out with us to Cap de Formentor, where there are beautiful views of the sunrise!
These sea cliff-sides views are completely open to the public without any fees or tickets needed to enter, which is great. What isn’t convenient is that this particular road that goes down to the Formentor lighthouse closes by 10am, so you have to make sure to get there early as sunrise is your only option for photos. There are other viewpoints in the area that aren’t closed off at that time, but they tend to get busy even in the morning.
If you’re worried about road closures and schedules, we can help you create an elopement timeline included in our photography packages so you don’t have to worry about it!
Cultural Highlights to Enrich Your Mallorca Elopement
Visit Rustic Mallorcan Villages
This couple decided to take photos first in Sóller at the Cathedral Barroquia and then head over to Deià for more portraits during golden hour. Deià is a charming village nestled in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, you’re immediately enchanted by its rustic stone houses, bougainvillea-covered walls, and breathtaking sea views. This little haven has long been a retreat for poets, artists, and dreamers, and today, it’s the setting for your unforgettable romantic escape.
Expert Tip: A photographer who knows the island will guide you to hidden gems and the best lighting conditions.
Helpful Local Tips:
- Embrace Spanish Cuisine: Some of our favorite Spanish dishes are staples in Mallorca! Being an island, Mallorca offers incredible seafood such as monkfish (Spanish “rape”), grilled squid (Spanish “calamares a la plancha”), and Sóller’s famous red prawns (Spanish “Gambas de Sóller). You also have to try ensaimadas (sweet pastries, go to Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo in Palma!) and sobrasada (cured sausage) for a true taste of Mallorca.
- Seasonal Planning: Spring and early fall are the best months to elope in Mallorca– Ideal weather, fewer tourists, and stunning natural colors. This couple eloped in July and it was hot during the day and we needed to take a break from the heat.
- Transportation Tips: Rural parts of Mallorca are connected from the city of Palma by bus, but if you don’t want to rely on public transportation we recommend renting a car for your stay. That way you can enjoy an open schedule and move freely around the island mountains and beaches.
- Dining Recommendations: Celebrate with a post-ceremony dinner at El Olivo in Deià, or at Es Fanals in Sóller with a view of the port.
- Extend Your Stay: Turn your elopement into a honeymoon! Our favorite little towns apart from the ones featured in this blog in Mallorca are the city of Palma de Mallorca (the cathedral and Jewish quarter are must-sees), Valldemossa (picturesque mountain village), Sóller (ooh, you have to take the vintage wooden train from Palma to Sóller for a scenic ride through the mountains!), and Cala Santanyí (best secluded beaches nearby).

Romantic Sunset Dinner at La Residencia, Deià, Mallorca
As the afternoon softened into golden hour, we made our way to La Residencia, another iconic luxury retreat nestled in the hills of Deià. The hotel, with its olive groves, citrus-scented gardens, and panoramic views, was the perfect setting to end our perfect day. This couple had booked their “Romantic Dinner Under the Stars” prepared by a private chef. Included in this reservation was a candlelit table set-up on a secluded terrace overlooking the sea and mountains! The sky turned into shades of pink, yellow, and deep orange— it was so gorgeous. A live guitarist softly played some Spanish melodies in the background, adding to the enchantment of the moment.
What’s so cool about this location is that if you’re staying there, La Residencia can even arrange for a moonlit couples’ massage on your terrace or a private stargazing experience with a local astronomer.
